THE POWER OF CLOTHING / UNIQLO Sustainability

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is spreading to all regions around the world, and that impact is especially severe upon refugees and displaced persons who have been driven from their homelands by conflict or persecution.

This World Refugee Day, there’s plenty you can do to help protect and improve the lives of refugee children with the UN Refugee Agency (UNCHR) and UNIQLO.

Improving access to health, water, and hygiene services in refugee camps

Improving access to health, water, and hygiene services in refugee camps

Many refugees live in densely populated camps or urban areas, and don’t have access to basic services such as clean water, medical aid or public sanitation facilities. This donation will help UNHCR respond to coronavirus with lifesaving support, including clean water, medical care, hygiene items and information to help refugee families.

The campaign has ended. Thank you for your participation.

Recycle Clothes Kids No Longer Wear

Please bring any UNIQLO kid’s clothing you no longer use to one of our stores and we commit to deliver them to those in need.

All-Product Recycling Initiative

All-Product Recycling Initiative

- All UNIQLO items are accepted for recycling.
- Please wash clothes before bringing into stores so we can deliver them in good condition.
- Please check the clothes for valuables before donating them.
- It is not a problem if a child’s name is written on the garments in an inconspicuous place such as the back of the care label.
- Due to the health and safety concerns arising from the COVID-19 crisis, some of our stores remain closed and those that are open may not be accepting clothing for recycling at this time. Please check the local UNIQLO website for the details.

UNIQLO has been operating its All-Product Recycling Initiative since 2006 in which we commit to deliver clothes brought into stores by customers to refugees and displaced persons through UNHCR and other partners. To date, we have delivered 36.57 million items of clothing to 72 countries and regions.

When we work together and take action, we can improve the quality of life for children who have been forced to flee due to war or persecution. We can help create a brighter future for refugee children. That’s our thinking, and we are determined to work towards achieving this goal with our customers.
