Introducing the MoMA Art Icons collection, which is the latest offering from a partnership between Uniqlo and The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. Let’s take a look at the key visuals that were shot in the museum with some of the artworks.
Under the concept of Art For All
This premium collection was created by MoMA and UNIQLO through our partnership that began almost a decade ago. Iconic works were selected from the New York museum’s extensive collection and reimagined for everyday wear. The pieces include Vincent van Gogh's “The Starry Night” (1889), with its rich blues and yellows, Claude Monet's “Water Lilies” (1914-26), with its more subdued hues and Liubov Popova’s “Untitled” (1917) abstract work. These items feature the MoMA logo to symbolize the partnership with UNIQLO and a shared commitment to enhancing daily living through the appreciation of great art.
Partnership between UNIQLO and MoMA
UNIQLO and MoMA have partnered since 2013 to make art more accessible to the world. UNIQLO and MoMA’s partnership invites everyone to enjoy the art of our time through free admission and special access programs and digital content initiatives including UNIQLO ArtSpeaks, where MoMA staff members share their personal stories about art on view in the galleries.
UNIQLO will continue to work with MoMA to share the Art For All message and to promote the appeal of modern modern and contemporary art as a way to add color to people's lives.
