UT2020 magazine asks the common question to the artists who we collaborate with. What did artist Kosuke Kawamura answer to our question?
"Culture is Tokyo City."
“I’ve always been inspired by the culture that comes out of Tokyo,” says artist Kosuke Kawamura, known for his exciting collages. Kawamura moved to Tokyo in his late teens with nothing but the clothes on his back after discovering designers Naohiro Ukawa and SK8THING through magazines. “I wanted to walk the same ground as these incredible people,” he says. Kawamura has worked in Tokyo ever since, but he is active throughout the world. “Work has given me more chances to visit other countries,” he says, “but the city and people of Tokyo inspire me most. This is where I feel at home.” UT collaborated with Kawamura on a T-shirt featuring the word “TOKYO” in his signature shredded collage style.
