Julie Hestehauge
Kindergarten Teacher
Julie, twenty-one, is pursuing a career in childcare because she wants to help children develop their unique abilities. “With blue skies and ocean views, Charlottenlund Beach Park has been one of my favorite spots since I was little. I’ll play catch with my dog or walk around. It’s such a relaxing place.” Julie has a lot of sportswear in her wardrobe. “The blouson is just right for an active lifestyle. It’s warm today, so a bra top keeps things nice and breezy.” Playing with her pup, Julie is the picture of good health.

Antoine Terranova
Climber
Hailing from Lyon in France, Antoine relocated to Copenhagen two and a half years ago. He works as a route setter at the climbing gym Beta Boulders, where he’s sharing his passion for the sport with locals. “Climbing is relatively new to Denmark. It’s available to everyone, regardless of skill level. You can move around however you want. In that sense, climbing is a form of self-expression.” Antoine wears lots of UNIQLO. He says this outfit is so light and comfortable you can say that I wear Uniqlo clothes for climbing.
Caroline Lublin
Photography School Students
Caroline is a photography major. On weekdays, she works a 6:30 AM shift at a cafe before heading to school. Full of vitality, she surprised us by saying it was a dream of hers to model for UNIQLO. “I love the wide denim pants. I wear them all the time. About a year ago, I honestly wrote in my diary that I’d like to model for UNIQLO. And now that dream’s come true.” The dark green top and geared pants have a simple, functional design just right for living in this city. “This outfit’s minimalist, active feel goes with the Nordic style perfectly.”
Johannes Rosendal
Students at The University of Copenhagen
A computer science student at the historic University of Copenhagen, Johannes met us at a local skate park. “Each year there’s a skateboarding competition called the Copenhagen Open. Skate culture has really taken off here. I’ve participated three times now.” Johannes says he often skates in UNIQLO jeans. He even showed us some of his tricks. “The sweatpants are roomy and easy to move around in. I like the way they coordinate with the green top.”

Ella Inez McKinley
Student at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts
Ella, twenty-one, is studying design in art school. We met up at the entrance to a popular music venue called VEGA where Ella has performed as the bass player for a post-punk band. “As much as I love music, I also love magazines and graphic design. I brought along some of my zines to show you. In the future, I want a job that connects people through design.” Ella says she sees a link between UNIQLO and the Nordic aesthetic. “Simple and functional. That’s the appeal for both.”
Loke Lund Lindehammer
Digital Creator
Loke, twenty, has been active as a digital creator since fourteen, garnering acclaim for his lifestyle, fashion and travel content. When he showed up in the park, a group of teenagers waved at him excitedly. “Copenhagen is a small town, so it’s easy to connect with people. If I’m walking around after a trip, I’ll keep bumping into people asking me how I’ve been. It’s a good feeling.” Loke has also been noticed for his fashion sense. “I like the baggy fit of these pants. The minimalist hoodie is just right.”
Sofie Iversen & Amalie Kongsted
Model, Students at The University of Copenhagen
“We met at Copenhagen Fashion Week and hit it off,” explained this friendly duo. Sofie, sporting chic layers, is in the midst of a two-year sabbatical she’s taking after high school to travel the world while modeling. Amalie, who took a liking to the dress, is a model and student majoring in art history at the University of Copenhagen. When asked what makes Copenhagen a special place, these two friends dressed in refreshing blues say it’s the parks and the activity. “The city’s full of greenery. People are always heading to yoga or pilates or out running. Healthy activities are part of life here.”

Perfect for sports.” When asked about the renowned architect Arne Jacobsen, Loke, whose mother is an architect, told us that Jacobsen used to live in the building shown behind him. “This complex was one of his first projects. I’m studying to become an architect like him someday.”
Sigurd Haagensen & Katharina Schneider
Floor Manager at HANZŌ, University Student
Sigurd works as floor manager at the fusion restaurant HANZŌ and Katharina is studying business communication at university while working at a restaurant in the same group as Sigurd’s. They like doing healthy things together, like competing in the Copenhagen Marathon. “The Christianshavn area along the canals has a blend of modern and historic architecture, making it a great spot for taking walks or jogging,” says Sigurd. He and Katharina’s warm smiles are a great match for their sporty outfits.
