Pablo Picasso
Painter, sculptor, and printmaker born in Málaga,Spain. In 1900 at age nineteen, Pablo Picasso made his first visit to Paris, where he was based from1904 through the 1940s. Paris is also where he spent his formative “Blue Period” and “Rose Period” and became known as a founder of the Cubist movement which fundamentally revamped the way that objects are perceived.His endless search for new modes of expression led him beyond the world of painting into the realms of sculpture, ceramics, literature and music, leaving a deep impression across the whole of modern art.

Olivia Arthur is a documentary photographer known for her in-depth work examining people and their personal and cultural identities. Her work has been exhibited internationally and is included in institutional collections in the UK, USA, Germany and Switzerland. She is co-founder of Fishbar, a publisher and space for photography in London. She became a member of Magnum Photos in 2013 and was elected as its president from 2020 to 2022.
JONATHAN ANDERSON
Northern Irish designer Jonathan Anderson founded JW ANDERSON in 2008. At first, it was a collection of elaborate accessories that quickly caught on and had the opportunity to appear at London Fashion Week 2008. The success of this debut collection earned praise and commercial success for Anderson, whose label is now considered one of the most innovative and progressive brands in London.

TADAO ANDO
Tadao Ando founded Tadao Ando Architect & Associates in 1969, and became a professor at the University of Tokyo in 1997 and professor emeritus in 2003. His many works include Japan Pavilion for Expo ‘92, Church of the Light, Osaka Prefectural Chikatsu Asuka Museum, Awaji Yumebutai, Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art, Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Punta della Dogana, and Bourse de Commerce.
HARUKA AYASE
Since debuting in 2000, Haruka Ayase has appeared in a wide range of films, dramas, TV shows and commercials. Her starring role in Palme d'Or contender Our Little Sister earned her a nomination in 2016 for the Japan Academy Film Prize for Best Actress. Since February 2021, she has served as a special ambassador for LifeWear.

DICK BRUNA
Dick Bruna was born in 1927 in Utrecht, the Netherlands. He gained international fame as an author and illustrator of children’s books, also as a graphic designer. Dick Bruna’s work is characterized by thick black outlines drawn with a paintbrush, vibrant colors and plenty of room for the reader's imagination. Over the course of approximately 60 years, he had written and illustrated more than 120 picture books. His books have been translated into more than 50 languages and sold more than 85 million copies worldwide. He also had supported many humanitarian organizations through his work, including UNICEF, the Red Cross and WORLD PEACE IS POSSIBLE.

Tennis legend. 20-time Grand Slam winner with 8 Wimbledon titles and holds the record of being ranked No. 1 in the world for 237 consecutive weeks. One of the most beloved and influential players of all time.
INES DE LA FRESSANGE
Ines de la Fressange started modeling and quickly became part of the famous and worldly known top models, walking for the biggest high fashion houses from age 17. She is a style icon and beloved muse. In 2013, she reestablished her own brand as an art director, embodying modern “Parisian chic."
HAN MEILIN
Born in 1936, Han Meilin is a renowned contemporary Chinese artist and diligent trailblazer whose artworks span across painting, calligraphy, sculpture, ceramics to folk art. He has been bestowed prestigious titles around the world including UNESCO's "Artist for Peace" in 2015. One of his best-known artworks is "Fuwa", the iconic mascot of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing.
KEITH HARING
A key figure in New York’ s East Village scene in the late 1970s and 80s, American artist Keith Haring’s artwork populated not only art galleries, but also the city’s subways, streets, and sidewalks. His work often combined an iconographic vocabulary, including hearts, flying saucers, winged figures, and a crawling “radiant baby,” with abstract marks and patterns.

Herzog & de Meuron is an international architectural practice based in Basel, Switzerland. Established in 1978, the practice is led by the two founders together with the Partners and the CEO. Today, an international team of over 550 collaborators is engaged in a wide range of projects across Europe, the Americas and Asia. The main office in Basel works in tandem with studios in Berlin and Munich, Paris, London, Hong Kong, New York and San Francisco, and site offices in Copenhagen, Jerusalem and Hangzhou.
AYUMU HIRANO
Ayumi Hirano is an Olympic snowboarding and skateboarding star. At 15, he became the youngest Japanese medalist ever at the Winter Olympics. Ayumi was a Gold medalist for snowboarding at the 2022 Beijing Olympics.
KHALED HOSSEINI
Khaled Hosseini was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, in 1965. In 1980, after the Soviet invasion of his birthplace, Khaled and his family were granted political asylum in the U.S. Khaled studied medicine and practiced as a physician in California until 2004, after which he dedicated himself to writing. He is the author of The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns, and other books. He has served as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, since 2006. In 2008, he launched The Khaled Hosseini Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, which provides humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan. He lives in CA.
REI INAMOTO
Creative Director Rei Inamoto was named in Creativity Magazine’s Annual “Creativity 50” as well as one of the "Top 25 Most Creative People in Advertising” in Forbes Magazine. Rei is also a Founding Partner of I&CO, a Business Invention Firm in NY and Tokyo.
KOSUKE KAWAMURA
Kosuke Kawamura was born in 1979 in Hiroshima Prefecture. As a collage artist, he has collaborated with a variety of artists and held solo and group exhibitions throughout Japan and internationally. His varied work includes graphics for clothing brands, book covers, advertisement designs, and artistic direction for CD and DVD packaging.
KAWS
KAWS engages audiences beyond the museums and galleries in which he regularly exhibits. Over the last two decades KAWS has built a successful career with work that consistently shows his formal agility as an artist, as well as his underlying wit, irreverence, and affection for our times.
SHINGO KUNIEDA
The king and pioneer of wheelchair tennis, Shingo Kunieda holds the record of being the first wheelchair tennis player to complete a Grand Slam. He’s earned 4 gold medals at the Paralympics, 27 Grand Slam singles titles, and 21 doubles titles.
HAKUJU KUISEKO
Born in 1934 in Mori, Shizuoka Prefecture. Graduated from the Faculty of Fine Art at Kyoto Gakugei Daigaku with a focus on calligraphy. Kuiseko’s calligraphic work aspires toward a sense of poise formed by blending an original style with straightforward, classic elements. His ideal is “calligraphy that rings if struck, that gushes if cut.”
LISA LARSON
Born in 1931 in Härlunda in the province of Småland in the south of Sweden. In 1954, she began working for Gustavsberg porcelain. Later, as the company’s star designer, she became a mainstay of the golden age of Swedish ceramics. In 1980, Lisa left the company to work as a freelance designer. In 1992, she co-founded Keramikstudion Gustavsberg. Full of life, she continues to make new designs for production, and unique (one-off) ceramic pieces.
SAUL LEITER
Saul Leiter was a legendary photographer who spent most of his life in New York City. His work appeared in well-known fashion magazines in the 1950s and 1960s, but he stepped away from the front line in the 1980s. His photo collection Early Color was released in 2006, when he was 82 years old, and was a major hit as he rose to prominence as a pioneer of color photography. Retrospectives and publications featuring Saul Leiter continue to be presented around the world, and a documentary film was released in 2013. Saul Leiter passed away in 2013.

Christophe Lemaire has been designing his namesake collection since 1991. He has also served as Artistic Director of Lacoste and Artistic Director of women’s ready-to-wear at Hermès. In 2015, he partnered with UNIQLO, resulting in the UNIQLO AND LEMAIRE collaboration collections for Fall/Winter 2015 and Spring/Summer 2016. Christophe Lemaire was appointed Artistic Director of the UNIQLO Paris R&D Center in 2016, where he and his handpicked team of designers create the Uniqlo U collection.

De Middel was born in Spain and is based between Mexico and Brazil. She became a Magnum nominee in 2017 and Magnum President in 2022.

DAIDO MORIYAMA
Daido Moriyama | Moriyama was born in Osaka Prefecture in 1938. After assisting Takeji Iwamiya and Eikoh Hosoe, he became a freelance photographer in 1964. He has exhibited his work around the world and has published numerous photo books, including Japan: A Photo Theater, Farewell Photography, and his Record series.

Tove Jansson created the Moomins in 1945. These lovable charcters have gone on to charm millions of fans with their wit and wisdom. Tove Jansson's work is a reflection of an entire life philosophy.
EMMANUELLE MOUREAUX
French architect, artist and designer living in Tokyo since 1996. Inspired by the layers and colors of Tokyo that built a complex depth and density on the street, and the traditional spatial elements like sliding screens, she has created the concept of "shikiri", which literally means "dividing (creating) space with colors". Using colors as her signature, her works extend to a number of projects, including architectural design for Sugamo Shinkin Bank, art installations for UNIQLO and ISSEY MIYAKE, "100 colors" art installation series, and "Forest of Numbers" at The National Art Center, Tokyo. Professor at Tohoku University of Art and Design.
HARUKI MURAKAMI
Haruki Murakami was born in 1949 in Kyoto Prefecture. Debuting in 1979 with Hear the Wind Sing, Murakami’s major works include Norwegian Wood, Kafka on the Shore, and 1Q84. His work has been translated into different languages all over the world and received multiple prizes, including the Franz Kafka Prize. He has also translated many of the books that influenced him the most, including The Great Gatsby and Catcher in the Rye. He has seen Harper more times than any other movie, and also loves the novel it was based on.
YU NAGABA
Artist. Born in 1976 in Tokyo. Alongside work in advertising and publishing, Yu has collaborated with famous brands and companies in Japan and abroad. In 2019, he staged the solo exhibition Express More with Less, which showcased a transition from drawing to the medium of canvas. The following year, his show The Last Supper at Gallery SAI in Shibuya drew critical acclaim. Since then, his work has continued to garner attention at home and abroad, with solo exhibitions in Hong Kong and Taiwan and participation in the Chinese art fair “WEST BEND.”
KEI NISHIKORI
Kei Nishikori is a history maker and the pride of his homeland. He is the first Japanese player to make the finals at the US Open, enter the top 4 in world rankings, and win an Olympic medal in 96 years.
JULIAN OPIE
Julian Opie plays with ways of seeing through reinterpreting the vocabulary of everyday life; his reductive style evokes both a visual and spatial experience of the world around us. Influenced by classical portraiture, Egyptian hieroglyphs and Japanese woodblock prints, as well as public signage and traffic signs, Opie connects the clean visual language of modern life, with the fundamentals of art history.
PEANUTS
Charles M. Schulz, the creator of the comic strip Peanuts, drew 17,897 strips over the course of half a century from 1950 (the year of the comic’s initial syndication in seven US newspapers) to his death in 2000.
JASON POLAN
Jason Polan, originally from Michigan, lived in New York following college. His work is exhibited all over the world. He was the founding member of Taco Bell Drawing Club. Polan did projects with The New York Times, The Ford Foundation, The New Yorker and more. Polan continued to draw every person in New York until his death from cancer at age 37.
GORDON REID
As a wheelchair tennis star, Gordon made history for being part of the first pair to complete a Men’s doubles wheelchair tennis Grand Slam. He is also a 2-time Singles and 19-time Doubles Grand Slam Champion. Gordon has earned Paralympic medals in gold, silver, and bronze.
FRANCESCO RISSO
Marni Creative Director, Francesco Risso approaches fashion-making as a gesamtkunstwerk, a total artwork: he merges languages and disciplines into a multifaceted whole, heralding a processual aesthetic that is embodied through interconnected media which are rooted in the materiality of clothing but come alive through the fashion show and collaborations. Involving like-minded entities into one seamless creative exchange, he fosters dialogue as the fuel of the brand to keep shaping Marni into a laboratorial community ruled by freewheeling multi-dimensionality.
LINDOKUHLE SOBEKWA

Born in South Africa in 1995, Lindokuhle Sobekwa came to photography in 2012 through his participation in the Of Soul and Joy Project, an educational program run in Thokoza. His early projects dealt with poverty and unemployment in the townships, while in later work Sobekwa is increasingly addressing his own life, such as his relationship with his sister, Ziyanda, who died after becoming estranged from her family. Most recently, he was announced as the recipient of the first John Kobal Fellowship, presented at Tate Modern in March 2023. Sobekwa became a Magnum nominee in 2018 and a member in 2022.
KASHIWA SATO
Kashiwa Sato is the Creative Director and CEO of SAMURAI INC. As a comprehensive “total producer” for brand strategies, he collaborates with a number of leading companies on different projects. He produced the launch of UNIQLO’s UT brand in 2007.
ADAM SCOTT
Adam Scott was born on 16th July 1980 in Adelaide, Australia. He is one of the world's top golfers with the most consecutive starts as an active player. In April 2013, just after becoming a Global Brand Ambassador for UNIQLO, he became the first Australian to win a Masters championship. He established the Adam Scott Foundation in 2005, providing educational opportunities for children and young people.
HANA TAJIMA
UK-born fashion designer Hana Tajima is changing the way women dress all over the world. Her contemporary, functional designs, which are both culturally sensitive and extremely versatile, continue garnering international attention.
ULTRAMAN
Ultraman is a Tokusatsu television series produced by Tsuburaya Productions. Beloved by fans far and wide of every generation, the franchise has produced a range of imaginative shows, from Ultra Q and Ultraman (1966) to the inspiration for this design, Ultraman Cosmos (2001), and the latest installment, Ultraman Blazar (2023).
WIM WENDERS
Film director, producer, photographer, and author. Born in 1945 in Germany, He is one of the most important representatives of contemporary cinema. He created multi-award-winning feature films, such as PARIS, TEXAS, WINGS OF DESIRE or UNTIL THE END OF THE WORLD, as well as innovative, Oscar-nominated documentaries like PINA, BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB or THE SALT OF THE EARTH. He is working on a new feature film starring Koji Yakusho, shot in Tokyo.
SHINYA YAMANAKA
Dr. Shinya Yamanaka was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine in 2012 for successfully generating induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells from skin cells. He is a professor at the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA) at Kyoto University, the Representative Director of the CiRA Foundation, and a Senior Investigator at the Gladstone Institutes in the United States.
TAKESHI YORO
Born in 1937 in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture. Anatomist. Graduated from the University of Tokyo Faculty of Medicine. Professor Emeritus at the University of Tokyo. Author of the 2003 best-seller The Wall of Fools, he is the recipient of awards from the Shingo Ryukogo Taisho buzzword contest and the Mainichi Publishing Culture Awards. The books in his “Wall” series have sold millions of copies. A known lover of cats and insects, he conceived of the idea for MushizuKa, an innovative memorial to insect life at Kamakura’s Kencho-ji Temple.
TOKUJIN YOSHIOKA
Established his own studio TOKUJIN YOSHIOKA INC. in 2000. Active in the fields of design, architecture, and contemporary art. The “Sakura Torch” for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the glass bench exhibited at Musée d'Orsay in Paris called “Water Block,” and the glass teahouse “KOU-AN” are some of the signature pieces. Many of his works are chosen as part of permanent collections in world renowned museums. He has won many international awards.
