A NEW LIFE FOR UNIQLO CLOTHING
“RE.UNIQLO” is a framework that helps maximize the utility of the clothing we make, contributing to a circular society.
“REDUCE” used clothing disposal by extending the lifespan of each garment. “REUSE” clothing with new purposes. “RECYCLE” clothing into new products and materials. Clothing has the power to change the future. None of this can happen without your help. Please bring any UNIQLO items you no longer need to a RE.UNIQLO recycling box.

RE.UNIQLO
Reuse & Recycle Framework

We collect secondhand UNIQLO clothes in stores for reuse and deliver them to people in need worldwide in the form of emergency clothing aid for refugee camps and disaster areas together with the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), NGOs, and NPO. We’re also exploring new ways to refresh old clothes, and make them available again to our customers. Further, UNIQLO is converting unwearable clothes into materials for new items. Clothes that can’t be recycled into new products are used to make insulation materials and more.
We collect secondhand UNIQLO and GU clothing that customers no long need in RE.UNIQLO boxes placed in each store. Donations are sorted into clothes that can be reused and clothes can be recycled into new products and materials. Clothes that can be reused are classified to fulfill recipient needs. Recycle clothing such as down jackets are utilized as materials for new clothing. Clothes that can’t be recycled are used to make insulation, soundproofing materials and more.
