GLOBAL
PARTNERSHIP
UNIQLO (Fast Retailing Group) began collaborating with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in 2006 and formed a partnership in 2011. With the support of UNHCR, we found ways to direct our resources to programs that support refugees, such as donating clothes to refugee camps and empowering refugees through vocational training.

World Refugee Day: A Message from Filippo Grandi, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency
Filippo Grandi, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, expresses his gratitude for the tremendous support given by the Japanese government, the people of Japan, and global partner Fast Retailing Co., Ltd., to people forced to flee. As of May 2024, the number of people forced to flee their homes has increased for the 12th consecutive year, reaching a record high of 120 million. This figure is equivalent to the population of Japan.
UNHCR calls for continued solidarity with refugees, forcibly displaced communities, and stateless people globally.
