- Aiding the establishment of a children's club
JEN helped to restart a children's club in Kamikama district that was shut down after the disaster. It cleaned up two parks in the district. These efforts led to the creation of a cooperative framework that reflected the wishes of the community and promoted stronger neighborhood ties, because local residents were encouraged to take part. A total of 413 residents participated in the events and the clean-up activities that were held at the parks. On February 5, 2015, the children's club held its first meeting since the disaster. The club is currently preparing a register of names and is holding discussions with local residents about reopening and running the club.

- Parent-child College
JEN established a parent-child college that enabled parents and their children to learn about careers. A total of 168 parents and children participated. They were interviewed before and after the college opened. The interviews revealed that the college helped to strengthen the bond between parent and child. The participants stated that conversations at home increased after the college was launched, which led to more family outings on the weekends. All guardians stated that they witnessed positive changes in their wards. Both the parents and the children expressed a very high level of satisfaction.
