Aid for NPO On The Road
Tohoku Kyoueki Toushi Kikin has aided NPO On The Road by investing 10 million yen to aid construction of Long Beach House, a complex that aids recovery. The complex is located in Watanoha district, Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture.
→Long Beach House was inaugurated in March 2015 as a complex that promotes cooperation between industry and the tourism and education sectors to accelerate recovery in the area devastated by the Tohoku natural disaster. The facility is being run as a guesthouse. It serves as a base for volunteers in the recovery effort. It is working to maintain the number of people who are coming from cities and increase employment in the area.
Aid for Kashiwadairinkusu KK
Tohoku Kyoueki Toushi Kikin has invested 20 million yen to help a dairy farmer who was forced to evacuate due to the nuclear accident in Fukushima Prefecture to run a dairy farm and a food-processing company at a new location (Jinsekikogen, Hiroshima Prefecture).
→The fund is helping a farmer who was forced to evacuate due to the nuclear accident in Fukushima by providing some of the capital that was needed to buy equipment and run a new business in Hiroshima. Through this project, the fund is helping NPOs to develop a new, sustainable communities. The fund is positioning this project as a new way to support the recovery from the natural disaster.
